Clara Baeta Martins

Clara Sofia Baeta Martins is PhD student in the doctoral program in Biosciences with specialization in Biochemistry at the R&D Unit “Molecular Physical-Chemistry” of the University of Coimbra (QFM-UC). Her main field of interest is vibrational spectroscopy applied to Medicinal Chemistry – development of new Pt- and Pd- based compounds with potential anticancer activity. The main techniques used are vibrational spectroscopy (FTIR, microRaman and microFTIR) coupled with cell biological assays. She participated as a research fellow in two projects, NoMorFilm (Horizon 2020 EU Grant 634588) and VibsOnCancer (C491215625-00083205). She is the author and co-author of articles in international journals with scientific arbitration, author of three book’s chapters and has several oral and panel communications at various scientific meetings.
